Out Like a Lamb...

Issue 15 February 24, 2011

Music Department Fundraising Dinner

Let’s Go To The Movies is the theme for this year’s February music fundraiser. This is the second year that we are featuring this mid-year music program, and for those who don’t remember last year’s treat, we come together on a Sunday afternoon to enjoy the music of the various TCJA ensembles. There is no fee for the program; rather, the fundraising portion of the evening comes by way of the snacks that are available for a donation to the music program. Groups performing include the beginner and advanced band, the beginner and advanced bells and the elementary and advanced choirs.

Kennewick Spanish Church to host Open Gym Night

This Saturday evening, the 26th, our gym will be open for worship at 5:00pm followed by games. The ladies of the congregation have also put together a variety of foods that they will be selling, once the games portion of the evening begins. The evening is open to everyone in the TCJA family, so come on out for fun and fellowship.

Basketball…Done

Though we had originally planned to carry our elementary basketball through to spring break, it appears that interest is waning, so we have concluded that season along with our other programs, which also concluded this past week. The rate will be prorated from $50 to $30 to make up for that difference.

Week of Prayer – Coming Soon

Myron Wareham is a former electrician, middle school teacher, elementary and high school principal, and superintendent of schools, and a current 5th grade teacher in Southern California who has taken his Spring Break this year to come to us and lead in our Week of Prayer experience. We are excited about this upcoming week, the

Week before our Spring Break.

TCJA Intramural Basketball Ends

The Wisconsin team lost only one game in the season, and that, it was only because they had to forfeit as many of their players were either ill or detained through not having all of their classwork in. Earlier today, they faced off against Maine who defeated Utah in the semifinals last Tuesday. Wisconsin continued their winning season scoring 24 to Maine’s 18. Wisconsin consists of the following members:

Bradley Birney, Brandon Mitchell, Jaeleah Settlemier, Justin Wenham, Krystil Hinsley, Mr. Wilson
